Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 9 August 2026

1. Who you are contracting with

BudgetFlow ("the Service") is provided by Kenneth Idiovwa ("we", "us"), a sole trader trading as BudgetFlow. These Terms form the agreement between you and Kenneth Idiovwa. You can reach us at support@budgetflow.finance.

2. Acceptance

By creating an account or continuing to use BudgetFlow you agree to these Terms. If you are using BudgetFlow on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind it. If you are an individual, you confirm you are of legal age in your country.

3. What BudgetFlow is

BudgetFlow is a personal budgeting and spend-tracking tool. It splits your income using the 50/30/20 rule, records the transactions you enter, and produces summaries, forecasts and AI-generated insights from that data. BudgetFlow is an informational tool only. It is not financial, investment, tax or legal advice, and it is not a bank or payment institution. Figures, projections and AI-generated text may be inaccurate or incomplete; you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on and for your own financial decisions.

4. Your account

  • Provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
  • Keep your password, PIN and device credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account.
  • Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission.

5. Acceptable use

You must not:

  • use the Service unlawfully or for fraud, spam or abuse;
  • infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • interfere with the Service's security or integrity, including malware, probing, penetration testing, scraping or circumventing rate limits and technical restrictions;
  • reverse engineer, resell or redistribute the Service or any part of it;
  • upload content you have no right to upload, including receipts or images belonging to others.

6. Licence and intellectual property

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service within the plan you have selected. We retain all ownership of the Service, its software, documentation and branding. You keep ownership of the data and images you upload, and you grant us a limited licence to host and process them solely to provide the Service to you (including sending receipt images to our AI provider for text extraction when you use receipt scanning).

7. AI features

Premium features use third-party AI models to extract text from receipts and to generate written insights. You are responsible for the content you submit and for how you use the output. Outputs may be inaccurate and are not suitable for regulated professional advice without your own review. We may filter, refuse or remove content, and we may restrict accounts that misuse these features.

8. Plans, payment and cancellation

BudgetFlow offers a free plan and paid Premium subscriptions billed monthly or yearly, in each case after any free trial period. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by the Paddle Checkout Buyer Terms. Our own refund terms are set out in our Refund Policy. If you cancel, you keep Premium access until the end of the period you have paid for, after which your account reverts to the free plan.

9. Service level

We work to keep BudgetFlow available and accurate, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Features may change, and maintenance or third-party outages may interrupt access. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. You may stop using BudgetFlow and delete your account at any time from Settings. Deleted accounts are retained for 30 days so you can recover them, then permanently removed. You can export your data at any time before deletion.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential or special damages, including lost profits, lost data or lost goodwill. Our total aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury where such exclusion is prohibited by law.

12. Indemnity

You will indemnify us against claims arising from content you upload, your unlawful use of the Service, or your breach of these Terms.

13. General

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, without limiting mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond its reasonable control. If we change these Terms we will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
